		<description>Thanks for posting a great link to the top 1300 high schools in all of America.  I looked at the stats there and it seems like Monta Vista was rated the 146th highest ranking high school across the country, making it the 10th in California, right behind Gunn at #9.

Paly, if I remember correctly, didn&#039;t want to be considered for these types of honors citing unfair pressure on its students.

(BTW, Monta Vista is part of the Fremont Union High School District which includes, among others, Lynbrook and Homestead High Schools.)

		<description>Cupertino school district (at least high schools) doesn&#039;t fare so good when comparing the whole California. Here is the list of California HS ranking and the best Cupertino HS (Monta Vista) is 146th best HS in California. 
And with CA budget issues, overcrowded classes with a fewer teachers the situation will not improve soon.
