					<description>&lt;p&gt;I was transferred to Palo Alto in 1945 from New York State to help the Telephone Co as they were so busy with the troops coming home from the Pacific in WW 11.There were so few cars so we rode bicycles from Smith's on the circle all over the area including over Dumbarton Bridge. I lived at 540 University Ave which was a broker's office in 1972 when I visited. Route 101 was a 2 lane road and we rode bikes down to Mountain View to watch the blimps land. On the way down, we stopped, walked into a field and ate the best tomatoes I have ever had. Enjoyed this site so much, &lt;/p&gt;</description>
